Coming to Jeju was something out of the ordinary for me, a very spontaneous thought that I was very unsure about.  I applied at JejuESL and told myself and everyone that if I heard back it would be wonderful to get a teaching job, but if not, it wasn't a big deal!  I heard immediately response back from Jason at JejuESL and then got a bit nervous!  I talked to Jason on the phone and was surprised at how much of a perfect match Jeju seemed to be for my  lifestyle and future dreams.  I thought it was too good to be true!  However, after speaking to Jason numerous times, I realized that this opportunity was reality and that Jason and JejuESL were caring, reputable people who were going to finally make my dream alive!

   Throughout the whole visa and hiring process Jason was in constant communication with me through phone and email.  He made sure that every step of the process was taken care of in a correct and timely manner.  When I had a few doubts about coming, Jason was there to assure me with his positive attitude that everything would end up smooth in the end and that I was going to love Jeju! After a long flight to Seoul and a few problems at the airport (leaving me wanting to turn around and go back to America!) it was such a relief to get to Jeju Airport and see Jimmy waiting for me with a smile on his face and an English map of Jeju in his hand!  Jimmy drove me to my school to meet my director and coworkers and was kind enough to help in getting my luggage up to my apartment, and that I needed nothing else!  Jimmy was also a huge help when it came time later to apply and pick up my ARC card.  He not only helped in gathering the information I needed but drove me there and personally helped me!  I know if at any time I would have any problem, big or small, a phone call to either Jason or Jimmy is all it would take to get it solved! Because of them I honestly can say that Jeju Island is "my home away from home", a place I don't plan on leaving anytime soon!
